Meet the Inspiration

Ms. Charlene Dixon was born on January 8, 1958 to Otis Dixon, Sr. and Mildred Dixon in Clewiston, Florida. She received her education in the Henry County Public School System and graduated from Clewiston High School. Directly after graduation, she left Clewiston and moved to Fort Myers to further her education. She received her degree in nursing at Edison Community College and went on to work at Lee Memorial Hospital and South Bay Correctional Facility as a Registered Nurse. Ms. Dixon also received her Certificate of License as a Foster Parent and fostered several children while raising her own children, making sure there was no child left behind. On January 9, 2015, Ms. Charlene Dixon was called home, leaving behind two adult children, Antoine and Quenetta, and her grandchildren Joshua, Micah, Myla, and Eden, as well as a host of other family members whom she loved dearly.
Charlene Dixon
Charlene lived and walked as a woman of God and loved others immensely. A giver by nature and had a love for her children and other children that could only have come from God. She nurtured family members that grew up without fathers and loved them with the love of God so much, that they were still able to grow up healthy, and become successful loving individuals in society today. Ms. Dixon ensured that everyone was celebrated on their birthday, and each child she knew would have an exciting gift on the way. No college student in the family went without what they needed while she was on duty. There was always room at her home for family members that were trying to get back on their feet, and if there was a family with children or a child in need of food, clothing, or shelter she was on the job. She didn’t have to quote Proverbs 31 because she lived it. Because she was such a giver her oil never gave out until it was time. Her worth could never be calculated because it’s infinite. She was a seamstress to add to her crown, always presented herself like a queen, and delighted in cleanliness. She spoke with wisdom as a rod of correction, and faithful instruction was on her tongue. In loving memory, we Honor Ms. Charlene Dixon for making sure there was no youth left behind!
